8 Months

Motherhood is a strange thing. I am still new to the circle and yet, I feel like I have been part of it for so long. Sometimes it is hard to remember life before this little guy crept in and took up my whole heart. He is now 8 months old ( 6 months corrected age) and has made HUGE strides.
Though he does not actually drink much from his sippee, he sure likes to hold it and chew on it. He loves prunes (weird if you ask me), and apples and sweet potatoes, but still does not care for formula from his bottle. He will drink apple juice from his bottle when he is in the mood. Since he was not able to drink a bottle for the first four months of his life he doesn't understand that sucking a bottle will make him feel full. We hope we can just skip the bottle and move on to a sippee eventually. We are practicing with it everyday. For now we still feed him his formula through the feeding tube and he eats baby food and puffs. He loves them.

He is teething and chews on absolutely everything that he picks up. These rings are his favorite! He drools constantly, and no matter how many outfits we put on in a day they are soaked! And yes, he does have red hair. It is sooo cute, however we are unsure of where it came from?

He adores his binky and he has to have it to go to sleep, and it can calm him down in most any situation.

He is getting used to his helmet which will eventually award him with a perfectly round head.
He loves books and especially loves his "Good Night Scout" Book which we read each night before bed.

He loves his daddy and is so happy any time he is in his arms.
Even when we don't have his helmet on, we try to keep a hat on so he gets used to something on his head.

He is such a smiley little guy and is getting better at sitting up. He sat up for 12 seconds on his own this weekend and then when he realizes it, he gently folds in half and starts screaming. He rolls from his tummy to his back, but has not figured out the back to tummy yet.

He is so precious and I am so thankful he is part of our family. Though it is challenging, I am so glad I get to be his mommy! Happy 8 months to our precious baby boy.
